This is an excellent introduction to scouting for 6 to 8 year olds. The children learn to work together and share experiences through games,handicrafts and other activities.
Beavers belong to the Beaver Colony, with the Beavers split into “Lodges” Learning is developed on the basis of having fun and making friends
Badges: There are three “challenge badges” called Discovery,Friendship and Outdoor encouraging the Beavers to undertake a balanced programme of fun and adventure following each of those themes.
In addition there are 5 Activity Badges (Animal Friend,Creative,Experiment,Explore and Faith). The top award for Beaver’s will be the Chief Scout’s Bronze Award. Click here for more information about badges.
