Scouts

Jump in and get muddy. Give back and get set. Scouts ignore the butterflies and go for it, and soon so will you.

A balanced program helps the boys and girls learn more skills encouraging them to know their own abilities and the importance of keeping fit. We have our very own qualified instructors for canoeing, hill walking and archery. Weekend camps are a regular event.

Scouts belong to the Scout Troop with the youngsters split into Patrols. The Patrol is a vital part of the Troop, with many of the activities planned and carried out in the Patrol. The Patrol is led by a Patrol Leader who represents the members of his Patrol at the “Patrol Leaders Forum”. This helps develop a sense of responsibility within the individuals, and an appreciation for the needs of others,

Scout leaders

All of our leaders are trained volunteers working to make Scouts the best it can be, but we don’t just need swashbuckling adventurers to lead our expeditions. We also need tidy-uppers and tea-makers and great listeners from all walks of life – for as much or as little time as they can spare.
